Rowan Lee is a high contrast black and white artist, also known as ‘Lucky Moth Studio’. She combines a binary colour scheme with smooth lines to create stylised illustrations that both soothe and stimulate the brain. The main goal of her practice is to connect with people and evoke comfort in the chaos that is life.

She is an author, illustrator and artist, working on projects such as “The Creature Who Came To Newcastle”, a children’s book featuring popular Newcastle landmarks and a light hearted story.​ She also creates pieces using a range of mediums, including vinyl on acrylic, ink and mixed media. Her artwork draws on elements from history, mythology, and personal experiences to link real life and this black and white alternative world.
